Oye Gureje is Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Mental Health, Neurosciences and Drug and Alcohol Abuse, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has been a Board Member of the World Psychiatric Association and involved in the development of some of the Association’s educational programmes. He is currently a member of the Association’s Action Working Group on Comorbidity. He was a member of the International Advisory Group and Field Studies Coordinating Group for ICD-11 Mental, Behavioural and Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Chair of the ICD-11 Working Groups on Somatic Disorders and Cultural Guidance.
