Rebeca Robles García is a psychologist with a specialization in cognitive behavioral therapy. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, a doctorate in Health Psychology, and a postdoctorate in Public Mental Health. She was member of the Field Studies Coordinating Group for the development of ICD-11 Mental, Behavioural and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, international principal investigator of the studies to evaluate the ICD-11 proposal of the valid and destigmatizing reclassification of transgender and nonbinary gender identities, and implementation coordinator for the rest of the ICD-11 field studies in Spanish conducted in Mexico, particularly at the National Institute of Psychiatry Ramon de la Fuente Muñiz. She is currently coordinator and researcher of the Global Mental Health Research Center at the National Institute of Psychiatry Ramon de la Fuente Muñiz, as well as professor and tutor in the psychiatry, medical sciences, and psychology postgraduate programs at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
