Geoffrey M. Reed is Professor of Medical Psychology and Director, Columbia – WHO Center for Global Mental Health, Department of Psychiatry, Columbia University, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, NY, USA. Beginning in 2008, he served as Senior Project Officer for the Development of the ICD-11 Mental Disorders, Department of Mental Health and Substance Use, WHO, Geneva. He is currently a member of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Committee for the ICD-11. He founded the WHO Global Clinical Practice Network (http://gcp.network), which now comprises over 18,000 mental health and primary care professionals from 164 countries who contributed directly to the development of the ICD-11 through participation in field studies.
